Marketing Communications Specialist
Full-Time Position

Position Overview:
Advocate all internal and external communications. Plan and conduct programs to create and maintain a favorable public image for the company and enhance internal communications through the website, emails, postings, newsletters, employee involvement, etc.

Reports To:
VP Organizational Development and VP Respiratory Services

Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist management by making recommendations and providing input with overall departmental and interdepartmental communications.

Provide internal newsletter. Through various means, keep staff informed of industry information, changes and other “good to know” news to not only inform but to motivate.

Continual improvement of the MSC website and Intranet providing up to date information on a regular basis. Enhance the value of the sites to provide increasing knowledge of our company, its products and services making it user friendly keeping up with the latest technology.

Prepares and distributes fact sheets, news releases, photographs or tape recordings to media representatives and other persons who may be interested in learning about or publicizing MSC's activities or message.

Development of marketing material for sales staff to use and promote MSC to increase market share.

Newsletter for sales to distribute to accounts.

Through MSC University, organize and promote training and/or information sessions by holding educational forums or other outlets as determined appropriate to our patients, referral sources and other public audiences.

Promote goodwill with the local market by providing including nurses and therapists through various publicity efforts such as lunches, dinners, speeches, exhibits, tours, and question/answer sessions.

Represent MSC during community projects and at public, social, and business gatherings.

Researches data, creates ideas, writes copy, lays out artwork, contacts media representatives, or represents employer directly before general public.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements:
• Two plus years experience providing written communications in a similar role.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views. Contributes to building a positive team spirit; Supports everyone's efforts to succeed.
• Front page or other graphics program experience a plus to translate concepts and information into images on the web. Competency in MS Office programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.
• Solicits and uses feedback to improve communications, modify designs and improve service.
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.
